— Writing is Design. Design is storytelling.
I’ve always been fascinated by stories–told in words, images, moving images: it doesn’t matter. A good story will always be a good story, and a great story reminds us of our own humanity. So does great design.
Design is just like world-building in a story – the first paragraph or line of a story or poem teaches the reader how to read that work, and the first interaction with a product, building, utensil, magazine – any designed object – teaches your user how to use and interact with it.
