Digital Art

During the initial lockdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I began a personal project of creating a piece of digital artwork each day as a way to manage the uncertainty and stress. These abstract pieces, originally shared on Instagram, explore the possibilities of using the blend tool in Adobe Illustrator. Using simple shapes – generally ovals or star shapes – and applying gradients to the outline of the shape, and then applying the blend tool in various ways, I got surprising and sometimes lovely results.
